Dear Prospective New Members:
Thank you for requesting information regarding membership to the Washington Pest Management Association. Enclosed is a membership application.
WSPMA is s non-profit organization comprised of pest control operators, structural pest inspectors and affiliated industries. We have quarterly business meetings plus educational recertification seminars. An Association newsletter is mailed out quarterly as well with reduced advertising rates for Members. All Members are entitled to free insect identification at the WSU Extension Office located in Puyallup, WA.
WSPMA Membership year is July 1 through June 30. There is an initiation fee of $100.00 for all new members. Membership dues are $150.00 per year. However, if membership occurs during non renewal dates, dues are pro-rated to the nearest quarter. If you hold a pest control applicator's license, you may apply for Joint or State membership. National Pest Management Association dues are prorated at mid-year.
Joint membership: Pest control operators who also become a member in the National Pest Management Association (NPMA). For a copy of the NPMA dues structure, contact the WSPMA business office.
State membership: Pest control operators that do not wish to participate in NPMA membership. State members enjoy the same privileges as Joint members except they may not vote and may not hold an elected office. State Members may co-chair any committee and serve as them as well.
Associate membership: Any firm licensed with the State of Washington as a pest control consultant in the category of structural pest inspector. Associate members may serve on committees, as well as co-chair said committee, but have no voting privileges.
Allied membership: Support groups and suppliers to the industry.
